Library Card
Residents of Columbus Junction, Columbus City, Cotter, Conesville, and Fredonia can apply for a library card, as well as surrounding Louisa and Muscatine County residents. CJPL participates in the open access program, and anyone interested is able to apply for a library card. However, for anyone not residing within these physical parameters, the open access program only allows for use of the physical collection, not digital resources, like ebooks or databases. Patrons should use their home library to access online resources.
Apply for a library card in person/at the library or online below. Please allow at least 2 business days for processing.
All online applications will have a 30 day expiration date in our library circulation system. During that 30 days, you'll have full use of Libby and other services, but we kindly ask that you visit the library with your photo ID or proof of residence (such as a piece of mail) in order to comply with our Use and Operations Policy. After that 30 day grace period, access will no longer be granted until proof of residence has been supplied. If you prefer, proof of residence/photo ID can be emailed to: cjpldirector@gmail.com
